SOLAR PROJECT - The house of S. Phrenia (1995)

Bueno, aquí les dejo una joyita de mi colección privada. se trata de la agrupación alemana ¨Solar Project¨ liderados por Robert Valet, quien se rodeó de unos cuantos músicos y cantantes invitados para dar forma a este disco con una gran influencia de Pink Floyd pero con el agregado de un sonido de guitarra y bateria muy particular, diría que mas cercanos al metal.

El álbum esta estructurado de tal manera que es como si nostros fuésemos alguien que entra a un edificio y va subiendo piso por piso y entrando a todos los departamentos de los propietarios, por eso cada tema lleva como titulo nombres particulares.

MOONSPELL Y TIAMAT en Argentina!!!

Después de unos cuantos años vuelven los portugueses Moonspell en el marco de un festival de gothic metal el domingo 15 de noviembre en El Teatro Colegiales para presentar ¨Night Eternal¨ su nuevo álbum y por supuesto los clásicos de siempre de discos como Opium, Wolfheart y demás!
Pero Moonspell no viene solo, sino acompañado de los suecos Tiamat, que llegan a suelo argentino por primera vez! Ellos tiene su noveno álbum ¨Amanethes¨ como primicia.
Y como invitados nacionales estarán The Unborn con su nuevo cd ¨Principhia Matemathica¨y Lingerbliss.
Las dos bandas han lanzado grandes discos ultimamente y de seguro va ser una verdadera fiesta de la música oscura!!!

Esta es la segunda opera rock de la banda, y trata sobre la historia del famoso vidente Nostradamus pero desde un punto de vista muy particular, el de un monje llamado Yves de Lessines quien en realidad habria escrito las famosas ¨centurias¨ 200 años antes como un código secreto para descubir el tesoro de los Templarios y que Nostradamus se las apropió transformandolas en predicciones.

¨The Ripper¨ estuvo en Argentina - 11-12/10/09

Tim ¨Ripper¨ Owens se presentó en Capital Federal y La Plata como parte de su gira estrenando su álbum en solitario ¨Play my game¨ con la particularidad de que, por razones de costo, tuvo una banda nacional de cada país como invitados para los shows.
En Argentina el grupo elegido fue Insurrección, quienes ya habian oficiado de apoyo para Paul Di Anno hace años.
Ripper se lució cantando muy bien con un repertorio repleto de covers, tanto de Judas Priest como de Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Balck Sabbath e Yngwie Malmsteen, y tambien aprovecho a meter un par de temas de su disco solista, aunque lamentablemente no incluyo nada de ¨Beyond Fear¨.
El sonido no fue del todo bueno y la banda Insurrección acompañó sobriamente y nada más.

RATA BLANCA + DOOGIE WHITE - The forgotten kingdom (2009)

Walter Giardino apuesta fuerte con esta redición del ultimo álbum de Rata Blanca ¨El reino olvidado¨ ya que apuntando a un mercado extranjero mas amplio, ha contado con la participación especial de Doogie White (ex Rainbow) en la voz principal para cantar todos los temas.
El resultado es curioso... las influencias de Giardino son aun mas notorias al estar las canciones cantadas en ingles, y Doogie hizo un trabajo brillante.
Que pensara Barilari de todo esto?
